For many years now, on the Se San River there has been a fishing village, also known as "Western hamlet". People from all over the world come here to make a living by catching and cultivating aquatic products on the hydroelectric lake bed.
About 10 years ago, people working as fishermen in provinces and cities across the country such as Ca Mau, An Giang, Long An, Thua Thien - Hue... migrated to the area of Se San 4 hydropower plant, establishing a village. fishing (in Ia Toi commune, Ia H'drai district, Kon Tum). They go to the Se San lake bed area to make a living mainly by farming and catching aquatic products.

By early 2018, dozens of fishing village households were granted household registration books, 400 square meters of residential land and 50 million VND to build houses on the shore, with electricity from the national grid connected to each house.
