On the morning of February 19, traveling along National Highway 24 from Kon Tum city to Mang Den, we encountered not only tourists in the province but also many families and couples from Gia Lai, Binh Dinh, Da Nang riding motorbikes and cars to Mang Den to enjoy the spring and to see cherry blossoms in bloom.

The place that tourists love to come to see the flowers is Dak Ke Lake area. Because Dak Ke Lake is where the cherry blossom trees are large, many years old, with beautiful shapes, the flowers blooming brightly, reflecting on the clear lake surface, surrounded by pine hills with the wind blowing.

Here, we encountered many couples who seemed quite excited, posing to take beautiful photos next to the brilliant cherry blossom trees.

Unable to hide his joy, Nguyen Thanh Tung (20 years old, in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province) praised: Beautiful! So beautiful! This is the first time I have seen so many cherry blossoms blooming brightly like this; the scenery here is also wonderful, the climate is cool, fresh, really attractive!

Nguyen Thanh Tung said that the reason he went to Mang Den today was because he heard from friends who had gone back and seen on social networks that the cherry blossoms were so beautiful. So Tung, his girlfriend and some friends in Gia Lai decided to ride a motorbike to Mang Den to enjoy the cherry blossoms.

"The cherry blossoms are blooming so brightly and beautifully, we didn't waste our time driving hundreds of kilometers up here. Next year, we will invite more friends to Mang Den" - Thanh Tung said.

Also at Dak Ke Lake, we also saw groups of tourists driving cars with license plates from southern provinces such as Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Ba Ria-Vung Tau also going to Mang Den to enjoy the spring and enjoy the cherry blossoms.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tan (60 years old, in Tien Giang province) said: This year, after Tet, we and 3 other families rented a 16-seat car to travel along the Central Highlands. The first place we chose to visit was Mang Den in Kon Tum province. Luckily, we arrived here at the time when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Everyone was amazed by the beautiful scenery here.

“I am really pleased to choose Mang Den as the destination for this spring trip. I am really impressed by the scenery here, especially the fresh, cool climate and the cherry blossoms blooming in Mang Den. It was a truly impressive trip,” said Mr. Tan.

According to the People's Committee of Kon Plong district, in recent days, thousands of tourists have come to Mang Den every day to visit the famous landscapes and see the cherry blossoms. In particular, on Saturday and Sunday (February 16 and 17), there were quite a lot of visitors, up to several thousand people came to see and take pictures with cherry blossoms in the area and the most visited places were Dak Ke Lake, Toong Dam Lake, Pa Sy Waterfall...

With a cool climate, favorable for growing flowers, in addition to developing cold-climate vegetables and flowers, Kon Plong district also grows cherry blossoms. Up to now, the whole district has planted about 30,000 cherry blossom trees. In particular, cherry blossoms grown in Mang Den are suitable, so when the season comes, the flowers bloom brilliantly, attracting a large number of tourists from all over the world to Mang Den.

To see cherry blossoms in spring, visitors do not have to go to faraway Japan but only need to go to Mang Den National Tourist Area, Kon Plong district. Visitors will definitely be captivated by the beauty of cherry blossoms here at the time of full bloom like now when coming to Mang Den...
